Half Day Moving & Handling of People

Course Aim: This training programme is designed to provide students with the essential knowledge and understanding of the safe process of moving people to prevent injury to themselves and the person being moved, whilst also covering the legal requirements regarding the handling of people.

Who Should Attend: This course has been designed for those persons that have responsibility for safe moving and handling of people.  The course will be delivered in 4 hours.

  • Moving and Handling assessments
  • Basic principles of Safer Handling
  • Company Handling Policy
  • Anatomy
  • Unsafe Moves
  • Practical Moving & Transferring
  • Working with Equipment

 

If your organisation has a specific area of training that is not included, or you require a more in-depth session, then we can accommodate you by providing additional training in that particular subject.

Certification: A certificate of competence will be issued to all candidates on the successful completion of both practical and written assessments.

Numbers: A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 15 students can be accommodated on this course.

Location: We are able to deliver this course on your site, subject to a pre-course assessment of your premises or we can source a suitable location if necessary.
