CIEH Principles of COSHH

Course Aim: This course has been developed to introduce candidates to the hazards associated with substances that are hazardous to health, the risks and control measures available.  It also covers the expectations required from a COSHH assessment.

Who Should Attend: This course has been designed for those persons that use substances hazardous to health at work and have the responsibility in conducting COSHH risk assessments.

Course Content:

  • Definition and types of substances hazardous to health in the workplace
  • Health effects of hazardous substances and their causes
  • COSHH assessments and control measures available
  • Responsibilities imposed by the COSHH regulations

 

If your organisation has a specific area of training that is not included, or you require a more in-depth session, then we can accommodate you by providing additional training in that particular subject.

Certification: A CIEH certificate will be issued to all candidates on the successful completion of a written assessment.

Numbers: A minimum of 8 and a maximum of 15 students can be accommodated on this course.

Location:  We are able to deliver this course on your site, subject to a pre-course assessment of your premises or we can source a suitable location if necessary.
